My new journal article, “Measuring the invisible: Development and multi-industry validation of the Gender Bias Scale for Women Leaders” was published yesterday in Human Resource Development Quarterly. My co-authors are Amber Stephenson, Clarkson University, Leanne Dzubinski, Biola University, and David Wang, Biola University.
In this article, we present a comprehensive 47-item scale which measures women leaders’s experiences and perceptions of gender bias. This scale was developed and validated using a sample of female higher education executives, faith-based non-profit leaders, physicians and lawyers.
In this article, we also introduce six primary factors and 15 subfactors of gender bias affecting women leaders.
